Done Deal.Easy Breezy. It came quickly, and I refused to load in another set of batteries. It's a no brainer. After draining the first set of batteries, i was on Amazon to order the adapter.
AH an adapter that runs off electricity. This was a no brainer. Are you kidding me. A small investment now with a little electricity usage (not always my electricity) and it starts paying for it's self in no time. BUY IT The V-Smiles batteries are dead AGAIN. That does it I've got to figure out something to stop the money drainage.
This product does what it's supposed to do, hook the v tech smile to electricity. I was dismayed that the Vtech smile didn't come with an ac adapter. They need to get every last dollar they can.
V-tech told me to keep the games and the unit cleaner, now I ask how dirty it could be after a couple of uses. Exchanged it for a new one that did the same thing. I have done research into this and found many other parents say the same. It also would not release the cartridges.
My mother bought my three sons a v-smile console for Christmas last year and as Grandmas do, went overboard buying every single game she could find. Complete waste of a lot of Grandma's money and three heartbroken kids. Look this up, you will find it. She also purchased extra controllers, charger, adapter, you name it.
Wrote to v-tech and was continually insulted and patronized by their associates, never been so upset with any company in my life. I do not recommend. This toy began powering itself off after the second or third use and never came back on. Exchanged THAT for a v-smile pocket hoping for better luck and THAT did the same thing after about 5 uses.
Got it for my son, had for about 5 months now and it's still working.
